Pop Culture Therapists
A podcast by two licensed counselors who happen to be friends and pop culture enthusiasts.
Welcome to Pop Culture Therapists! We are talking about how mental health is portrayed in movies and TV shows and why it matters. Think a mashup of pop culture, TV, movies, mental health, humor and character analysis...we are talking about everything from the controversial “Thirteen Reasons Why” to throwbacks like “the Sopranos.”

How PCT Started
After becoming close friends in grad school, Anna and Kristen continued to bond over their love for TV shows, movies, brunch food, and counseling...in that order. They spent many a brunch discussing their favorite TV shows and movies and started to think their conversations were fun and a least mildly thought provoking--so they figured, “why not include an audience?!” They married their love for counseling with pop culture, and a podcast was born.
